"Journal of Mediterranean Cities" is dedicated to focusing on habitat studies and challenges facing our cities. The journal provides science-led strategic insight and guidance for sustainable and resilient cities, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean regions. Topics draw on scientific knowledge and research to make regional policies and practices as future-proof as possible. The Schools of Architecture and Urbanism are considered as potential driving forces and hubs for the profound science-led transformation and integration in the region, and thus, the Journal aims to bring together schools of Architecture and Urban Studies from different regions, in one platform.

The contributions explore resilient landscape frameworks for desertification-prone oases, the effects of infrasound on human well-being in living spaces, and the reinterpretation of traditional dovecotes within contemporary architectural discourse. The issue further examines the dialogue between architecture and landscape through Portuguese case studies, the conservation and adaptive use of linear cultural heritage, and the role of tactical urbanism in revitalizing neglected urban spaces in developing cities. Complementing these perspectives, an experimental study evaluates the thermal performance of perforated solar screens across different façade orientations, advancing climate-responsive design strategies. Together, these articles highlight innovative approaches that connect cultural heritage, environmental resilience, human comfort, and sustainable urban development.
